This is Us
Phil and Aroha’s adventure began in 2007. At the age of 21, through a miraculous encounter with God’s Holy Spirit, they discovered a life-changing call. Unaware then of the profound plan God had in store for them, their prayerful reach toward the supernatural set them on a lifelong journey of faith, discovery, and purpose.
In 2022, that journey brought them to Nara, Japan, where they now live with their two children, Hannah and Moses. Today, their hearts are set on building a vibrant, transformative community of believers across Japan.
With a passion for evangelism and discipleship, they are actively involved in:
- Leading Worship & Prayer Meetings
- Serving at an Inner-city Church
- Discipleship
Their mission is anchored in the firm belief that Jesus Christ is the Lord of the harvest and that through His power—and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit—no barrier is insurmountable. Although Christianity has touched only a small minority among the Japanese, Phil and Aroha are convinced that now is the time to press in. They are committed to equipping, releasing, and witnessing breakthrough among this amazing people.
Our Heart
We believe that Jesus ascended to the Father to send the gift of the Holy Spirit, who empowers and guides the mission of the Church. To this day, effective mission work is only possible when we rely on the strength and wisdom the Holy Spirit provides.
Our faith journey has been shaped by supernatural encounters with the Living God. We firmly believe that to reach the Japanese people effectively, we must be led and empowered by both Truth and Spirit.
Our Friends
Manifest Love Church in Hamilton, New Zealand, has commissioned and sent us into the mission field, equipping us to share the Gospel and manifest God’s Kingdom. As our sending church, it stands in prayer and partnership with us, supporting our calling to reach the nations.
OnFire Japan is a Christian ministry committed to igniting faith and revival across Japan. As a mission we walk alongside, it empowers believers through media, networking, and training, fostering spiritual growth and preparing disciples for the harvest.
Praise Power is a ministry that we are actively involved in leading and growing. Through our Praise and worship we seek to set up an altar to the Lord.
Pioneer Ministry is a global revival and missions organisation based in New Zealand, dedicated to spreading the Gospel through crusades, training, and supernatural ministry. As a host, we have been working closely with their short-term mission teams to bring revival fire to Japan!
Roses Church was established to convey the message of true love to those who, in these difficult times of the end, have lost love, have lost hope, are driven and impoverished by life, are unable to shake off their sense of despair, and are living empty days.
