Illuminating Japan: Bringing the Gospel to Life
The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.
Isaiah 9:2

CHRIST FOR JAPAN

God is at work. Consider how you can be part of it!

Come with us on the journey.
A Great Light Mission is dedicated to serving God and seeing Japanese brothers and sister come to the full knowledge their God given identity in Christ.
What is a Great Light?
A Great Light is a mission initiative dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ in Japan. We believe that God loves the Japanese people and has a wonderful plan for this nation—and we are committed to being part of it.
It is truly an exciting time to serve in Japan! If you have a heart for this nation, know that God is moving, and there are opportunities to be part of His work.
Our mission is:
- Creating opportunities for Japanese people to encounter the love and power of Jesus.
- Encouraging and equipping our Japanese brothers and sisters in their faith.
- Discipling and teaching fundamental biblical truths.
- Reaching the unreached.
- Networking with workers and groups across Japan.
- Assisting and mobilizing new missionaries.
We believe that Jesus ascended to the Father to send the gift of the Holy Spirit, who empowers and guides the mission of the Church. To this day, effective mission work is only possible when we rely on the strength and wisdom the Holy Spirit provides.
Our faith journey has been shaped by supernatural encounters with the Living God. We firmly believe that to reach the Japanese people effectively, we must be led and empowered by both Truth and Spirit.
